Sage Business Cloud Accounting Issues and Work-around - Feb 2021
What Exactly Happened?
As most of our Sage Business Cloud Accounting (previously Sage One) clients and users are aware, there has been a major problem with accessing, working and processing transactions on Sage Business Cloud / Sage One since a recent platform upgrade on Sunday 14 January 2021. While the source of the problem has not been disclosed, it has become clear it is related to the hosting of the cloud packages. To date, 01 February 2021, a complete fix has not been put in place by Sage.

Is There a Temporary Workaround to enable users to work? Yes!
Preferred Solutions has investigated and tested between multiple users, that making use of the “Incognito Window” on Chrome or Edge browsers, enables users to work at an acceptable speed and successfully process transactions.
While browsing with an Incognito Window will not completely solve the slow speeds, we have found that it does improve it enough to be able to get some work done, at least.
Why Does this work? By using the “Incognito Window” – you are starting a brand new session on Sage Accounting without previous cookies, cache or history which could cause issues with login and browsing of the Sage One platform.
How do I access the Incognito Window?
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More New Incognito Window.
- A new window appears. In the top corner, check for the Incognito icon .
You can also use a keyboard shortcut to open an Incognito window:
- Windows, Linux, or Chrome OS: Press Ctrl + Shift + n.
- Mac: Press ⌘ + Shift + n.
Remember to close the Incognito Window after each session, and open a new Incognito Window when you need to log into Sage Accounting again.
