Preferred Solutions was founded in 1991 when the need was identified for financial software support to be provided to small and medium businesses, by people with both strong accounting and software skills. The products supported, namely the Pastel range of products, are internationally recognised with a majority market share in South Africa and other countries.

Preferred Solutions quickly established themselves as a software and management support house of very high caliber. It wasn't long before Preferred Solutions reached Platinum status as one of the leading Pastel dealers in South Africa with a client base spanning cities all over the country.

As a result of Business Management Software and IT infrastructures being inextricably linked Preferred Solutions progressively developed an IT division to cater for this need providing an all-encompassing solution to their clients.

Currently, Preferred Solutions supports in excess of 2000 clients in varying industries, including 20 plus large manufacturing concerns and in excess of 12 large Wine Farms. The staff compliment over 30 includes a wealth of expansive expertise with ± 22 years financial accounting and management experience and ± 10 years IT experience. One of the main areas we specialize in is making sense of all the information captured on Accounting systems and how we can give access to it via analysis reporting tools. This means that the wealth of information currently being recorded becomes a valuable source of information.

Preferred Solutions has been awarded the best Pastel Value Added Reseller (western Cape) from 2005-2008 by Softline Pastel. Pastel Payroll gave us the same status - top Pastel Payroll Value Added Reseller for 2006, 2007 and 2009. This proudly makes us the best Pastel dealer in the Western Cape.
